Studio Policies
Booking & Payment
All workshops and private lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reservations are confirmed once payment is received.
Studio Safety
Painting may involve materials such as solvents, tools, or standing for extended periods. By booking, you agree to follow studio guidelines and take responsibility for your own safety.
Kids Participation
For the sessions where children are invited, there is no age limit unless otherwise noted. That said, you know your children best, and they will need to abstain from eating the paint, running around recklessly, being disruptively loud for long periods or destructive. (I have kids and I know what it can be like! No judgment) Kids are kids and we love that, we just want to make sure everyone there can enjoy the class :) If the child is continuously disruptive, you may be asked to remove them for a time or for the rest of class. Private home lessons are also an option. Reach out if you have any questions.
Questions
If you’re unsure whether a workshop or private lesson is the right fit, I’m happy to answer questions before you book. Feel free to email Sara at Sara@saraargue.com.
The Studio Space
Accessibility
Sara’s studio is located in the Button Factory Art Studios, an old factory building rom the 1800’s. Sadly there is no elevator. Her studio is on the 3rd floor, which entails 2 flights of stairs.
Restrooms
There is a public restroom on the same floor as the studio.
Breaks and Meals
These work sessions are long to encourage artistic growth! There is always a scheduled 20 minute break in the middle of the session, and participants are welcome to eat, drink, walk, use the restrooms as needed.
Workshops (Small-Group Classes)

Teaching Style
Workshops include direct, constructive feedback offered in a supportive group environment. This feedback is intended to help you grow and gain confidence in your work.
Private Lessons
Cancellations & Credits

Materials
Students are responsible for providing their own materials for private lessons. A materials list will be shared in advance.
Teaching Style & Expectations
Private lessons involve focused, individualized instruction and honest, constructive critique. Feedback is given thoughtfully and directly to support artistic growth. By booking, you acknowledge that this teaching style may feel challenging at times and is part of the learning process.
Participation
Progress depends on active participation, openness to feedback, and practice between sessions. Outcomes vary and cannot be guaranteed.
